2. Prejudice is when someone judges someone before even knowing them. I have witnessed prejudice before in a few different ways including oral and physical insults. I felt like I couldn’t do anything about it because there was a lot of people laughing so I just let it happen. If I heard a classmate say a sexual slur i would tell them its inappropriate and ask them not to do it again.

3. My neighborhood is nice and cozy. All of my neighbors are friends and everyone likes each other. It is located in Thurston which is the nicer neighborhoods of Springfield. I think it is a great place for people to grow up and i would love to raise my kids in this neighborhood.

5. Justice is when someone gets their just deserves and it makes you feel better like things were made right. The most unjust occurence I have ever heard of is when someone commits a rape of molestation crime and gets away with it because that is one of the worst crimes you can do next to murder.

Summer is one of he best times of the year. No school, no homework, no waking up early and most of all the 4h fair which is all about kicking it with friends and having fun.

As nice as it is not having school the 4h fair is really what makes me look forward to summer. A lot of the time me and my friends aren’t even doing anything close to what we are supposed to be doing because im pretty sure playing socky in the parking lot at two in the morning is not required. But the group leaders dont really care because they know the fair is supposed to be a relief period after all the hard work we put in raising our animals.

When me and my friends arent plaing socky or feeding or watering our animals we’re chilling in the trailer and playing video games that not many people can play because they cant find an outlet to plug it into. Apparantly they didnt get the message that the extension cord was created.

The last day of fair is the auction. Yyou finally get to sell your responsibilities that you have had for the last few months. This is also where the most worrying is done because you have put a lot of money into your animal and you just hope to break even. To some people 4h is about making money but i just do it for fun.

This will be my third year in the 4h fair but definely not my last because it is what makes my summers worth having.

My general thoughts about text messaging is that its good when used in the right way. On average I send about 500 text a day and to about four different people. Text messaging impacts my own writing because I dont use any punctuation when I text so sometimes I forget when I write. I dont think you should be able to text at school unless it is important because it is a lot easier to text then leave the class to use your phone and i dont believe text messaging should be used in movies or political campaigns ect. I also believe that less people are talking on the phone since texting has became populer. I have heard that talking on cell phones is increasing the chances of getting cancer so texting is also decreasing the chances of getting cancer from cell phones.

One new understanding I have gained through silent reading is that people change when things happen. On page 128 in the Book “the Hardy Boys case File 47″ by Franklin W. Dixon Max Lachlan says “when your mother died so did my soul, all I have left is hate.” This is an example to show what messages i have gained through silent reading.

A blog is a piece of your writing that you post on the internet for people to see. I have heard about blogs on myspace and also in newspapers and on television. I am pretty comfortable with computers because i have spent a lot of time on them whether it was messing around on myspace or in a computer class during school. I think writing is kinda fun sometimes and a good way to express your feelings if you have a hard time talking about them. I like to do persuasive writing because thats the writing that im best at. People are really concerned about their children on the internet because it is a dangerous place if your not careful. Our peers just use the internet for work or research. I think it will be more fun using it in class this year.

The book I chose was The Hardy Boys number flight into danger by Franklin W. Dixon. The reason I chose this book is because i like action and planes and this book really has a lot of action in it because it has to do with crime fighting and mystery solvers. The thing about this work that caught my attention is how quickly they got into the mystery and it was also recommended by my friend Shakria.
